Team QuantiTech Wins 492nd Special Operations Wing (492nd SOW) Operations Management Support Contract

QuantiTech has been awarded an OASIS SB Prime contract supporting technical advisory and assistance services for the 492d Special Operations Wing (492 SOW). Our Team will provide operations management support, including scheduling and coordination of current operations, training, deployment, and logistics. QuantiTech is excited to begin supporting the HQ Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC); we look forward to ensuring 492 SOW/HQ AFSOC contingency and training commitments are met!

QuantiTech Employee Inducted Into Space Worker Hall of Fame

Bob Herman, a QuantiTech Senior Tech Advisor of NASA Programs, was recently selected to the 2017 National Space Club Florida Committee (NSCFL) Space Worker Hall of Fame, in the category of Space Launch Technology. Mr. Herman’s name will be etched on a plaque and placed on the NSCFL Hall of Fame obelisk at Space View Park Museum. The award honors those who have made significant contributions to our space program in all areas of launch and mission operations including Space Launch Technology, Space Flight Support, Human Spaceflight Advancement and Space Flight Advocacy and Education. Mr. Herman’s exceptional contributions to the Space Vehicle, Ground Launch, or Range Systems hardware, procedures, software and/or technical support directly contributed to the launching of manned and unmanned payloads in support of United States Space interests.


Mr. Herman and the other award recipients were honored at a NSCFL luncheon held at Port Canaveral on August 08, 2017. Mr. Herman is a Native Floridian and University of Central Florida (FTU) graduate. He started his career as a Flight Control Systems Engineer for Rockwell in November 1979 and supported the first flow and launch of Columbia. He was also on the system engineering team for every inaugural processing flow and launch of each shuttle orbiter. He was the first Launch Processing Integration Engineer (TPE) at Vandenberg AFB and returned to KSC as the first Senior Vehicle Engineer for Discovery’s Return to Flight flow. Later in his career, Mr. Herman served as the Chief Engineer and Shuttle Engineering director for United Space Alliance’s KSC Ground Operations. As Chief Engineer, he was responsible for the technical direction of the USA Operations at KSC for 29 successful space shuttle launches. In 2007 Herman became the SRB Deputy Program Manager then moved on as USA’s and ATK’s Site Executive in Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Herman joined QuantiTech’s Team in 2016; he and his wife, Shelly live in Titusville, Florida where they enjoy spoiling their four grandkids.

QuantiTech FVL Employees Recognized for Emergency Response Contribution

QuantiTech is proud to highlight the achievement of 3 employees who were presented with an award for contributions to safety and emergency preparedness on Redstone Arsenal. Our employees designed and built a wedge barricade that could be quickly and easily installed in emergency situations to prevent the forced entry of swinging doors.

Lt. Col. Roger Kuykendall recognized our employees for “performing in a professional and exemplary manner and for the integral parts they played, as part of the active shooter response team for the Future Vertical Lift office. The procedures that they helped develop led to total preparedness in securing the 2nd floor of 5304, during a potentially serious situation last month.”

Team QuantiTech Wins AMCOM G-3, ALC, and AMCOM G-8 Functional, Program Management, Plans, and Integration Support Contract

QuantiTech has been awarded a 5-year AMCOM EXPRESS SB Prime Contract to provide support to AMCOM G-3, AMCOM Logistics Center (ALC), and AMCOM G-8. Our Team will be providing programmatic support to the Demilitarization Program and current ALC/ AMCOM strategic initiatives and cost/financial analyses.

QuantiTech was proud to be one of the sponsors for NASA’s Marshall Small Business Alliance (MSBA)  Meeting at the US Space and Rocket Center. The MSBA was created to serve as a networking resource for small and large businesses having an interest in the MSFC marketplace. The primary focus  of the MSBA is to inform, educate, and advocate on behalf of the small business community. At each half day event, businesses will gain valuable insight to guide them in their marketing endeavors.

In 2016, QuantiTech celebrated numerous milestones. We had a fantastic 25th Anniversary year; experienced 202% growth in personnel; added the Advanced Space Systems Division; and received 6 Prime Contract and 7 Subcontract awards. We anticipate 2017 being another record-setting year as QuantiTech becomes a trusted partner to an even broader Customer Base
